…A Few of My Favorite [Fall] Things

Hello there and welcome back to my blog! Well, October is halfway over and since I have yet to post anything fall related, today I thought I would share some of my favorite things about fall. Better late than never, right? I hope you enjoy!

Fall Fashion

Anyone who knows me knows that I love being comfortable (I’m literally in sweats within minutes of coming home). Luckily for me, fall is that time of year when comfy clothes are a fashion staple and looking presentable is virtually effortless (double win). From flannels and oversized sweaters to leggings and booties, I love it all.

Changing seasons

I’m lucky enough to live in a place where I can experience a typical fall season, though they seem to have gotten shorter than I remember. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, but there’s nothing like crisp air to break three long months of humidity. From an aesthetic point of view, fall in the Northeast U.S. is absolutely gorgeous (and definitely Instagram worthy) with all the leaves changing colors.

Food & Drinks

Nothing can evoke emotion quite like taste does and fall is full of some good ones! Anything apple flavored gets a thumbs up from me, though I have recently gotten into pumpkin flavored food and drinks as well (basic, I know). One of my favorite fall foods, however, is roasted corn on the cob. For me, its salty and buttery goodness is the ultimate fall treat.

Pumpkin Farm

One of my all-time favorite things to do in fall is to go to a pumpkin farm. They capture the essence of the season in every way and there is something for everyone. I mean, where else can you find a pumpkin patch, hayride, corn maze and farmer’s market all in one place? I try my best to make it to one every year for a day full of fall fun!

Football & Hockey

I have loved sports since I was a little kid; it was kind of hard not to with my dad being a sports nut (and me being the first born haha). I’m not the most agile or graceful person so even though playing them didn’t work out, I’ve always enjoyed watching them. Fall is the one time of year when you can watch all four major sports. Although hockey has been a lifelong favorite of mine, I have gotten more into football and recently went to my first NFL game (more about that in an upcoming post 😉).

Cozy. I don’t think there’s a better word to sum up fall than this–both literally and figuratively! Yes, the days are getting shorter and the leaves are technically dying but making memories with the people you love (while sipping some hot apple cider in your leggings and chunky cable knit sweater) is what the season is all about.

As always, thank you so much for reading! What are some of your favorite things about fall? Let me know in the comment section below. Be sure to follow my blog if you aren’t already! Happy Fall Y’all!

  1. The comfy clothes are the best part!! I also love the leaves, but there is just something about the air that makes me think a little clearer. It’s the best time of year.
