October Recap & Going Forward

How is it November already?! This year went so incredibly fast and now the holiday season is officially among us! Ahhh!! Anyway, it’s time for a monthly blog recap. I’ve decided that this is going to be my last one for a while and I’ll tell you why a little bit later. But first, let’s recap!

For October, I decided to keep my goals from September since I didn’t make any of them. I had mentioned that, although large, my goals were semi-attainable. However, due to my work schedule and going on vacation, I didn’t promote my blog much and that hurt my numbers for September. So, how did I do in October?

Blog followers: 201 (goal was 250)

Twitter followers: 512 (goal was 450)

Instagram followers: 308 (goal was 450)

As you can see, I crushed my Twitter goal but didn’t make my blog or Instagram goals. I mentioned in September’s recap that, although I love my blog and want it to do well, I can’t be so hard on myself every time I fail to achieve a goal I’ve set. I am and always will be my harshest critic. Sometimes I need to remind myself that I work two jobs (one full time and one part time) and I can’t expect great numbers all the time…it’s just not realistic.

That being said, this is going to be my last recap for awhile. I need to blog without the pressure I’m putting on myself; that was what I intended when I started my blog. I’m not saying I’ll never do another one of these recaps again. My plan is to maybe do a recap every 3-4 months. This way I can still check my progress but do it less frequently and keep you guys clued in on my blogging journey. I will still try to be as active as possible on social media so be sure to follow me! (Links are below)

As always, thank you for reading my blog! I have some fun posts planned for this month so make sure you follow my blog so you never miss out on a post.

  1. Congratulations on the goals you achieved, and the progress you made to the ones you didn’t quite meet – yet! I think sometimes missing a goal can make us think all the work was for nothing, but it’s just adding another step on the climb, making the route to the top less steep.

    Good luck for future progress!
