Hello there! For this week’s Blogtober post, I have something a little different for you than my typical content. It’s fall related per se but not in the pumpkin spice and apple picking sense that comes to mind.
I recently received my first FabFitFun box and I can say that I am officially obsessed. If you don’t know what FabFitFun is, it’s a seasonal subscription box that sends fashion, beauty, lifestyle and wellness products straight to your door. The products are full size and come from reputable and mostly well known brands. I had heard good things about it through a coworker and saw so many ads on Instagram so I figured I’d give it a whirl. Aside from the goodies you receive in a box four times a year, your FabFitFun subscription also comes with access to FabFitFunTV and their online magazine. FabFitFun also works with different charities every season. This season, they worked with City of Hope which is “an organization that’s dedicated to find a cure for cancer and other deadly illnesses while also positively impacting patients’ lives during and after treatment”. This was definitely a plus for me as I prefer to give my money to companies that are socially and ethically conscious. In addition to all that, the box itself is beautiful as FabFitFun always partners with an artist for their boxes.
All FabFitFun members have the opportunity to customize the first three items in their box.
Plush Ultra Soft Plaid Scarf (valued at $75)
I have a lot of scarves but nothing quite like this one. First off, it screams “fall” and I’m all for it. It’s also probably the warmest scarf I’ve ever owned and will definitely come in handy as the weather gets colder here in New York.
NassifMD Detox Pads (valued at $45)
I have sensitive, acne prone skin and I’m always on the lookout for products that can help my complexion. The benefits of these complexion perfecting pads are that they exfoliate dead skin cells, even skin tone and diminish the look of pores. After using one of the pads, you can definitely feel the deep clean.
Baublebar Farah Ear Crawlers (valued at $34)
I chose these because I didn’t have anything like them and I loved how cute and different they are. They can be dressed up for work or formal function or dressed down with a t-shirt or thermal. I’ve received compliments every time I’ve worn them!
The next two items in the box were chosen for me by FabFitFun. Select or annual members have the opportunity to customize.
Afterspa Hair Towel Wrap (valued at $18)
I’m so happy I received this! I love using hair towels for my thick hair. This has worked better than any of the previous ones I’ve owned (and I didn’t have any complaints about those). There’s an extra elastic strap on the hair towel that helps it stay on your head and the microfiber material really absorbs the water from your hair.
Skin&Co Roma Truffle Therapy Face Toner (valued at $30)
As someone who is fair skinned, I’ve occasionally struggled with redness and uneven skin so I was excited when I saw that this was in my box. The toner promises to “remove impurities and brighten discoloration” and after using it everyday for a few weeks, I am starting to see that.
All FabFitFun members get these last three items in their box.
AVEDA Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair (valued at $30)
I love this stuff! I use heat on my hair a few times a week so when I saw that this product “instantly repairs and protects hair from heat styling”, I had to try. In just the short amount of time I’ve been using it, I’ve noticed that my hair is less damaged and is softer after styling. Plus, the product itself smells great!
Harper + Ari Exfoliating Sugar Cubes in Juice Cleanse (valued at $16)
I had never tried anything like this before so I was a bit skeptical when I first saw these. I’m so glad I tried them because they literally make taking a shower so much more exciting! From the yummy scent to the exfoliating sugar, it’s a win-win! Also, they’re a really good size and I only need to use half of one on my entire body which means they will last twice as long.
Human + Kind Body Soufflé (valued at $18)
I’m so glad I received this. I suffer from mild psoriasis and I live in the northeast so my skin can get pretty dry. This body soufflé, which is a blend of apricot oil and shea butter, is the perfect amount of nourishment and moisture for my skin and it smells amazing. It’s also vegan and cruelty free!
The total value of my box was $266! Not too shabby for a box that only costs $49.99 per season.
I hope you enjoyed my first FabFitFun review! Let me know in the comment section below if you’re a FabFitFun member and what you thought of your box. See you next time!
